A veteran guerilla fighter, Ballantyne Scouts Major, hunter and adventurer. He meets Claudia Monterro on one of her father’s hunting trips, which takes a dark turn when she is kidnapped by his nemesis, Colonel China. He ultimately accepts his duty and eventually kills his brother, Michael, and half-brother, Benjamin. He also rescues his nephew, Nicholas Miguel de Santiago y Machado Courtney from a KGB camp after he is kidnapped by his father.
